You won't find a larger selection of real authentic grizzly
bear claws available for sale, anywhere in the world ! These front grizzly bear
claws are measured from the bone, over the outside curve of the claw, to the tip
of the claw. Any front grizzly bear claw over 4" long is an exceptionally large grizzly claw.
Grizzly Bear claws are like your fingers, in that they are not all the same
length or size; just as your thumb and little finger are not the same as your
ring or index fingers; they are not all symmetrical in length, depth, shape or
curvature. It is quite common for front claws off the same bear to vary about 1"
in length. Grizzly Bears are real "diggers". They are always using their front claws to dig
for roots or gophers etc., and often break or splinter claws, or wear their
front claws shorter. The average grizzly bear has front claws that would average about 3.5" long.
On most of these front grizzly bear claws, the claws themselves have been put
into a tanning solution to preserve them and have been pretty well cleaned
right up, ready for necklaces, belt buckles, or other jewelry, etc.

Grizzly bears are also known as Alaska brown bears or Kodiak bears. We call them grizzly bear claws, but they are often called Alaska brown bear claws, or just brown bear claws and even Kodiak bear claws, but they are all the same species (there are about 30 subspecies) with the same Latin name of ("ursus arctos") which most people know as the "grizzly bear". (There are over 30 sub-species of the grizzly bear.) These real grizzly bear claws are often used for traditional native Indian grizzly bear claw necklaces.
